For a long time, pornography has often seemed boring to me. Either by excess of categorizations, or by the use of formatted bodies that look like plastic toys, or by too basic stories.
With these illustrations, I want to propose a universe that celebrates the diversity of bodies, fantasies and sexual practices, and that blurs the boundaries between the usual categories.
Whether it’s heterosexuality, homosexuality, BDSM and so on, my goal is to offer you powerful and evocative images with strong narratives.
Please note that situations of constraint must only be practiced between consenting adults.
How I work...
The series "Absinth" is a visual (and spicy) documentary about 19th century fantasies. Each drawing is a reconstruction of an old photograph often found on the Internet. When the photo is altered, I try to "fix" it by drawing but my goal is to be as faithful as possible. I also try to pay tribute to these anonymous people by highlighting them as much as possible.
The design of "Centuries" is different. First, I mentally conceive a scenario: time, characters, place, sexual practice. After that, I isolate photos from videos found on the Internet for the basic sexual position and I look for reference photos for costumes and sets. Then I compose a very rough draft with all this and I start drawing a first version, then a second version, and so on. Even if I try to find bodies adapted to my scenario, I leave myself a great freedom to adapt them if necessary and I also often modify the characteristics of the initial faces.
For "Monsters", I work a bit like "Centuries", except that the bodies of creatures are quite complex composites. For example, I used between 10 and 15 reference photos just for my faun’s body (Monsters 003 - The faun). On the other hand, the environments are much simpler than in "Centuries" and require much less reference photos. In the end, I spend a lot of time doing a global work of lighting and shading.
The drawings "Lines" are simple training from images gleaned from the Internet.
For the "So Close" series, I use screenshots of images extracted from Internet videos to set the basic position. Then I work freely to build an aesthetic light and black and white.
Please note that I don't mention my sources because they are usually royalty free images or pornographic videos widely broadcast and mentioning no credit. The photographs of the 19th century are also shared several times and it is impossible to know the source.
Of course, if you enjoy this universe, please like, comment and share on social networks and IRL.
